Rich DeMartini became a non-executive director of Martin Currie in 2007, following the investment by Crestview, which he joined in 2005. He is also a member of Martin Currie’s remuneration committee. In addition to his duties at Martin Currie, Rich serves as chairman of the board for Munder Capital Management, and is director of both FBR Capital Markets and Partners Capital. Previously, Rich was at Morgan Stanley, serving latterly as chairman and chief executive officer of its international private client group. His 26-year career at Morgan Stanley and Dean Witter Reynolds encompassed roles such as president of individual asset management, co-president of Dean Witter & Company and chairman of DiscoverCard. He has also served as president of Bank of America Asset Management, chairman of the board of the Nasdaq stockmarket and vice chairman of the board of the National Association of Securities Dealers. At Bank of America, Rich was responsible for all wealth and asset management activities. He was also a member of Bank of America’s operating committee. Additionally, Rich serves as a trustee of the Cancer Research Institute and the Whitney Museum of American Art.
