Malcolm Gourlay

Malcolm Gourlay became chairman of Martin Currie in 2005 and has been a non-executive director since 1999. He represents all the stakeholders in Martin Currie， chairs the board of Martin Currie Limited and Martin Currie （Holdings） Limited， and oversees corporate governance for the Martin Currie group. He is chairman of Martin Currie’s remuneration and nominations committees and a member of the audit committee. Malcolm is also chairman of Havelock Europa and a non-executive director of The Miller Group. He was a founding director of Clyde Petroleum and was managing director， chief executive and executive chairman during his 23 years with the company. Malcolm was chairman of Paladin Resources from 1997 to 2005 and deputy chairman of Bibby Line Group from 1997 to 2008. He is also a qualified chartered accountant.
